The delegation of the European Union (EU) to India, in cooperation with the Directorate-General Energy, European Commission and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), organised a webinar on the ‘Impact of COVID 19 on the EU and India’s renewable energy sector and how to ensure green recovery’, from 3:30 PM-5:00 PM (12 -1:30 PM CET) on 16th July 2020.
Both India and the EU are trying to cope with and recover from the health and economic impacts of the COVID pandemic. Also the renewable energy sector has been affected as a result of reduced demand, disruptions of the supply chain and logistics, project implementation delays and other hindrances related to maintaining reliable green power generation.
The webinar aimed at the sharing of initiatives and experiences between the EU and Indian policy makers and stakeholders on possible ways to emerge stronger and better out of this crisis.
