An India-EU High-Level Webinar on Sharing Ideas on Green Recovery Post COVID-19 was organized on 12 October 2020 with the support of the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, and in cooperation with The Energy and Resources Insitute (TERI) and the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ). The webinar provided an opportunity for the sharing of experiences and ideas from Europe and India on green recovery related issues.
Mr. Ugo Astuto, EU Ambassador to India, made welcoming remarks, followed by the keynote addresses by Mr. Rameshwar Prasad Gupta, Secretary, Ministry of Environment Forests and Climate Change (MoEFCC) and Ms. Clara de la Torre, Deputy Director-General of DG Climate Action, European Commission. Dr. Ajay Mathur, Director-General, The Energy and Resources Institutes (TERI) and Ms. Laurence Tubiana, CEO, European Climate Foundation, shared their perspectives on green recovery in India and Europe after which Ms. Vera Scholz, Director of Division Climate Change, Environment and Infrastructure, GIZ, Germany shared her closing remarks.
